Discover Acupressure Points for Stress Relief

Feeling stressed out and overwhelmed by the challenges of daily life? If you're seeking a natural and calming way to alleviate stress, acupressure might be the answer you've been looking for. Acupressure is an ancient healing technique derived from acupuncture but without the needles. By applying pressure to specific points on your body, you can promote relaxation, reduce tension, and restore balance to your mind and body.




Stimulate each of the points with firm and continuous pressure for 2-3 minutes at a time or by by doing five sets of balancing pressure massage (one set of balancing pressure massage is massaging the point in a clockwise direction for 7 rotations and then switching to a counter-clockwise direction for another 7 rotations).


YINTANG: Located between your eyebrows, apply gentle pressure to this point to relieve stress, anxiety, and promote mental clarity. Use your index finger and hold for a few minutes while taking deep breaths.


BL 2: Located at the medial end of the eyebrow, just above the inner canthus of the eye. Apply gentle pressure at this point and along the browline to relieve a frontal headache brought on by stress and tension.



HT 7: This point is found on the wrist joint, on the radial side (pinky finger side), in the depression just under the pisiform bone. Heart 7 is also called "Shenmen" or "Spirit gate" and is great fro calming the mind, easing anxiety, sadness, depression and mania.



PC 6: Pericardium 6 is located 3 fingers distance from the wrist crease on either forearm. Feel for a gap between the two tendons and locate the most tender spot in that area. You may find it easier to use the blunt end of a pen or a chopstick to stimulate this point.



LI 4: This point is situated between your thumb and forefinger. Stimulating Large Intestine 4 can help release tension and boost energy flow, making it a powerful point for stress relief. *Avoid if pregnant!



LV 3: Located on the top of your foot in the depression between the big toe and the second toe, pressing Liver 3 can help alleviate stress, calm the mind, and aid in relaxation.



GB 20: Situated on either side of the spine, in the hollow below the base of the skull, this point is effective in reducing stress, anxiety, and exhaustion.



GB 21: To relieve stress in the shoulders and neck, locate GB21 by feeling for the highest point of the shoulder muscle and apply firm pressure or knead this acupressure point. *Avoid if pregnant!
